The Appellant had asked in RTI application that
A. What steps has been taken on uncertain time delay in thoroughfare of train and
commencement of new commuter train on the same route?
B. When will be the execution of construction of additional loop line and signal and
map plan no. 17/85 and map plan no. 95/92 will take place as the estimate price had
been sent to the respective committee for both the plans but it is being delayed on
the pretext of unavailability of funds.
C. When will a proper adjustment be made to reduce the rush during working time due
to the passengers from different classes which ultimately makes the train no 526
(down) and 560 (down) late on stations?
D. Is it true that the Chief Passenger Conductor Manager, ECR, is behaving in step-
motherly manner with Patna-Ara-Buxar and Buxar-Ara-Patna railwayline that the
train no 510 (down), 506 (down), 512 (down), 562 (down) are made to stop on
Danapur railway station? It is due to lack of foresight and arbitrariness that the 8
people died after train ran over them. Why is convenience of the daily commuters in
abovesaid train are compromised?
The PIO replied:
The PIO replied to the appellant that
A. Train no 560 (down) runs always on its designated time. And if it gets delayed in
any unusual circumstances then the Railway runs it on priority basis.
The time changed only after the request of passengers on 01-Jan-2007 when the
Bihar Govt. changed its working time.
B. Controller Deptt. has not received any such plan.
C. Train no 526 (down) and 560 (down) get delayed because several super fast and
express trains pass through the same corridor at the same time. So it is not possible
to run 510 (down) at 4 o clocks from Buxar and to reach at Patna Junction at 8 o
clock.
D. Some amendments have been made into the timing of some passenger train for the
convenience of passengers, Rake link and commencement of some long distance
trains that is appropriate for the passengers. Reconsideration will take place after
receiving proposals to amend in the timetable.
