FACTS
:
The matter is called for hearing today dated 17.2.2010. Appellant present.
The public authority is represented by the officers named above. It is noticed that
vide RTI application dated 22.10.2008, the appellant had requested for
information on two paras viz list of all contracts sanctioned by GE, Subaroto Park
in respect of MES Colony, Subarto Park for FYs 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09 and
the expenditure made on certain quarters in the colony etc. The CPIO had
provided some information to the appellant vide letter dated 14.11.2008.
2. Dissatisfied with this, he has filed the present appeal.
3. During the hearing the appellant would submit that the colony is being
maintained by MES but the residents are living in unhygienic conditions. There
is seepage in the quarters and filth all around. He wonders, where the funds
purported to be spent on the colony are disappearing.
4. On the other hand, Shri Prasad would submit that the colony is being
regularly maintained.
5. It is not necessary for the Commission to go into the merits of rival
contentions. Suffice to say that the CPIO may provide year-wise expenditure
incurred in the block of the quarters in which the quarters mentioned in para (b)
of the RTI application are situate for the three financial years mentioned above.
6. The matter is disposed of accordingly.
