Background

1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.9.7.08 with the CPIO, DoP, Balia. He
requested for information against 4 points including the educational
qualifications of one Mrs.Rekha Maurya along with certified copies of all her
educational qualifications, the advertisement No. against which she has been
appointed, the copies of certificates she has submitted stating that she
belongs to backward caste and the order by which she was appointed. The
CPIO replied on 8.8.08 denying the information u/s 8(1)(j). The Applicant
then filed an appeal with the State Information Commission, Lucknow
reiterating his request for the information who in turn transferred the case to
CIC.

2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing on May 1, 2009.

3. Both the Applicant and the Respondent were absent for the hearing.

Decision

4. The Commission noted that the Appellant has not cited any relationship of
the disclosure of this information with any public activity or interest.
Accordingly, the Commission . Accordingly, the Commission denieds the
information under Section 8(1) (j) of the RTI Act.

5. The appeal is disposed off
