ORDER
Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.15.9.10 with the PIO, RPO, Bhopal. She stated that her
passport had expired on 25.8.10 and that three months before the expiry date, she had requested for
reissue of the passport. She wanted to know the reasons for delay in reissuing the passport and
names of officials responsible for the delay and action taken against them. Smt. L.K.Waghela, PIO
replied on 22.9.10 stating that the passport bearing No.J1430492 dt.17.9.10 was issued to the
Applicant. The Applicant filed a complaint dt.30.9.10 before CIC stating that information has not
been provided to her.
Decision
2. During the hearing, the Respondents submitted that the Complainant had written to the Appellate
Authority after she had filed the complaint with the Commission and that in compliance with the
Appellate Authority’s order, complete information was provided to the Complainant on 12.11.10.
3. Since there is no further complaint from the Complainant after receiving the information dated
12.11.10 the Commission assumes that she is satisfied with the information and accordingly
disposes of the case and closes the case at the Commission’s end.
