Facts
:
1. The complainant did not avail of the opportunity of personal hearing on
13/2/2009.
2. The complainant has alleged that the information asked for has not been
supplied to him. He has, therefore, pleaded for providing the information.
3. On perusal of the documents submitted by the complainant, it is observed
that he has asked for information in the form of various queries. The CPIO has,
however, not replied, it seems.
Decision:
4. The complainant is advised to seek information as per section 2(f) of the
Act, which requires that the information asked for should be available in any
material form. He is not expected to elicit views and opinion of the CPIO,
through various forms of queries, as has been attempted in the instant case. If
necessary, he should seek inspection of relevant records, so as to specify the
required information, which should be furnished as per the provisions of the Act.

5. The CPIO is directed to allow inspection of the relevant records and
provide the specified information, failing which penalty proceedings u/s 20(1) of
the Act, would be initiated.
6. With these observations, the complaint is disposed of.
