FACTS

:-

The matter, in short, is that the complainant is a resident of Sector 5, R.K. Puram.
It appears that there is a cluster of trees around his quarter due to which there is problem
of short circuiting etc. It is in this connection that he has filed the present complaint
before this Commission.

2. The matter was heard on 10/06/2009. The complainant is present before the
Commission. The public authority is represented by Shri Keshav Kumar, Deputy
Conservator of Forests, Govt. of Delhi. It is the submission of Shri Keshav Kumar that
his office has already granted permission for heavy pruning of trees but this is to be done
by the Horticulture Department of CPWD. Despite notice having been issued, none has
appeared from CPWD.

DECISION

3. Be it as it may, Deputy Director(Hort.), Division-5, CPWD, B Wing, IP Bhawan,
New Delhi, is hereby directed to prune the trees as per permission granted by the
competent authority in consultation with the complainant so as to minimize
inconvenience to him and other residents.

4. The matter is disposed of subject to the above directions.
