                             J U D G M E N T

The main prayer in this writ petition is to disburse the salary due to

the petitioner for the period of his appointment as Lecturer in Malayalam

in the 2nd respondent College during the period 2/1/2002 to 2/6/2002 in a

leave vacancy. The third prayer is to count the aforesaid period of service

for the purpose of placement in the senior scale. Counsel for the

petitioner submits that subsequent to the filing of the writ petition, salary

for the aforesaid period has been disbursed and therefore the prayer does

not arise for consideration.

Now that the salary has been paid, the writ petition is closed leaving

open the claim of the petitioner for reckoning the aforesaid service for the

purpose of his placement in senior scale and it will be open to the

petitioner to pursue his claim before the appropriate authorities.
