Title: Need to ensure smooth functioning of Neyveli Lignite Corporation.
(CHIDAMBARAM): The Neyveli Lignite Corporation has not paid adequate attention to the interest of the people who gave lands for the Corporation to establish. The people who gave lands were promised with adequate compensation and also employment for their eligible wards. I have been taking up this matter for the last three years in vain and with no result. Besides, I am receiving many representations that there are rampant irregularities in the administration along with the production. I would like to request the Government of India, through you, Sir, to ensure smooth functioning of NLC and the steps be taken to set the things right.
