As per the jail custody certificate (Annexure P-1), the petitioner

was convicted and sentenced to undergo life imprisonment on 20.8.2001.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the Haryana Government

Policy dated 8.8.2000, in relation to premature release of the convicts, was

in vogue on the aforesaid date.

This petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents

to decide the case of the petitioner for premature release as per Haryana

Government Policy dated 8.8.2000, if this policy was in vogue at that time,

within one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
