PRAYER : Original Application No.10695 of 1998 was filed before the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal praying to set aside the Advertisement of the first respondent in his Adv.No.22/98 dated 17.08.1998 made in Clause 4(I) 1 to 4 of the notification and also selection process for appointment and direct the first respondent to recognised any Degree, Diploma Licence, Certificate or other like award conferred, granted or issued on passing the final examination held by the institutions/University/Board recognised by the Central Council of Homoeopathic, Government of India. Since the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal was abolished, the O.A. was received by transfer and numbered as Writ Petition.

This writ petition is filed by the Association of Homeopathic Medical Practitioners, challenging the advertisement issued by the first respondent dated 17.08.1998. It is now more than 12 years from the date of such advertisement. At this point of time, no relief as sought for by the petitioner can be granted. At the time of final hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. In such view of the matter, the relief sought for has become infructuous due to lapse of time. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
