Facts

:­ 

1.   The   applicant   Shri   DK   Bharadwaj   sought 
information   from   the   CPIO,   LIC   office,   Najafgarh   vide 
his RTI request of 5th. October, 2009 pertaining to the 
quality   of  service   provided  by   the  Corporation   to  its 
customers in general and also with special reference to 
customer policy No. 110704537 through 5 points.

2. The   CPIO   vide   his   order   of   27th.   October,   2009 
provided   information   which   failed   to   satisfy   the 
applicant   who   preferred   appeal   before   first   appellate 
authority dated 10 November 2009.

3. The   appeal   was   disposed   of   vide   First   Appellate 
Authority   order   of   18th.   November,     2009   wherein 
additional information was provided to the applicant.

4. Not   being   satisfied   by   the   actions   of   the 
respondent,   the   applicant   preferred   second   appeal 
before the Commission which was heard today.

5. Respondent   were   present   in   person   as   above. 
Appellant did not appear.

6. The   respondents   submitted   that   they   had   been   in 
touch   with   applicant   who   had   also   been   afforded 
personal   hearing   by   the   first   appellate   authority   and 
additional information was provided to him.

Decision

7. Bearing in mind the action taken by the respondent 
to bridge the information gap through personal hearing, 
no further action is required to be taken and the case 
is closed at the Commission’s end.
