                              JUDGMENT

Petitioners’ complaint in this writ petition is that

though they had applied for a regular and temporary

permits, those applications were not considered by either of

the respondents.

2. It is now submitted by the learned counsel for the

petitioners that the 1st respondent had taken up for

consideration Ext.P7 application for regular permit made

by the petitioners and that they were also heard on

4.8.2008. Presently the complaint is that orders have not

been passed on Ext.P7. Yet another complaint made by the

petitioners is that pending consideration of Ext.P7 regular

permit application, they have filed Ext.P9 application for

temporary permit and that orders on Ext.P9 is also not

passed.

3. I heard the learned Government Pleader also.

4. If, as stated by the learned counsel for the

petitioners, the 1st respondent has already heard the parties

on Ext.P7 regular permit application, the 1st respondent

shall pass orders on it, as expeditiously as possible, at

any rate, within four weeks of production of a copy of this

judgment. It is also directed that the 2nd respondent shall

pass orders on Ext.P9 temporary permit application as

expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within 7 days of

production of a copy of this judgment.

5. Petitioners shall produce a copy of this judgment

before the respondents for compliance.

Writ petition is disposed of as above.
