Facts
arising from the Complaint:
The Complainant had filed a RTI application with the Respondent on 27/10/2010 asking
for certain information. On not having received any information within the mandated
time the Complainant filed a Complaint under Section 18 of the RTI Act with the
Commission. On this basis, the Commission issued a notice to the Respondent on
27/12/2010 with a direction to provide the information to the Complainant and further
sought an explanation for not furnishing the information within the mandated time.
The Commission has received a letter dated 05/01/2011 from the Respondent. It
has been stated therein that the RTI Application was received in their office on
01/11/2010. Further it has been stated that information has been sent to the Complainant
vide a letter dated 25/11/2010 through Speed Post. A copy of the information that has
been sent to the Complainant was enclosed. The information that has been provided to
the Complainant seems to be satisfactory. A copy of the information is being sent along
with this decision to the Complainant.
Therefore the Commission observes that there has been no delay in responding to
the RTI Application.
Decision:
The Complaint is disposed off.
Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
Any information in compliance with this order will be provided free of cost as per section 7(6) of RTI, Act,
2005.
