He stated that he is seeking the information of a person named, Surinder Singh Dhir S/o Shri Gurmukh Singh resident of 20, Balbinder Aptt., Plot No.A6, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi 110 063, sex Male, and his date of birth 10.4.1944, birth place Ferozpur(Punjab) issued Passport No.A3386029 and issuing date 6.10.97 valid upto 5.10.07. He also enclosed the photocopy of the said passport. In this context, he sought the following information: i) Whether the said passport is renewed after the expiry date i.e.5.10.07 ii) Whether Surinder Singh Dhir, who is an exserviceman of Indian Army has submitted his designation with his service number and the name of Regiment/Corps at the time of application for Passport. Kindly furnish it. iii) On which basis Shri Dhir has applied for passport, like Army quota or general category iv) Whether Shri Dhir has visited any country by the means of the said issued passport or not. v) Whether Shri Dhir is alive or not as per the inquiry of your department.
