Facts

arising from the Complaint:

The Complainant had filed an RTI application dated 07/01/2011 with the PIO,
Assessment and Collection Department, Municipal Corporation of Delhi, asking for
certain information. On not having received any information within the mandated time
the Complainant filed a Complaint under Section 18 of the RTI Act with the
Commission. On this basis, the Commission issued a notice to the Respondent on
29/03/2011 with a direction to provide the information to the Complainant and further
sought an explanation for not furnishing the information within the mandated time.

Subsequently, the Commission received a letter dated 29/04/2011 from the,
PIO/Dy. Assessor and Collector, Assessment & Collection Department (HQ), MCD
wherein it has been stated that the said RTI Application was never received in their
office. Further information has been said to have been provided now to the Complainant
vide a letter dated 21/04/2011 on the basis of the copy of the RTI Application received
along with the Commission’s aforementioned notice dated 29/03/2010. Copy of the said
letter was also enclosed.

Decision:

The Complaint is disposed off.

Notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.
