Title : Need to formulate a plan to start ‘Tree Ambulances’ for the protection and safety of trees in the country.
DR. RAJAN SUSHANT (KANGRA): I urge upon the Government of India to formulate a plan ‘Tree Ambulances’ for the protection of environment and climate in the country and at least one in each Parliamentary Constituency to protect and heal the ill trees. This Ambulance service will identify sick trees in need of urgent care from termite attacks and fungal infections which lead to hollow trunks as well as insect attacks etc. There Ambulances will carry equipments like insecticides, water tanks, ladders, pruning equipments & strengthening material etc. needed to treat sick trees alongwith trained gardeners or plants doctors.
