The Supreme Court Thursday set aside an Andhra Pradesh High Court verdict recognising the rights of the second wife and awarding her maintenance of Rs.500 per month.
The apex court bench of Justices Markandey Katju and T.S. Thakur was hearing the case of a man called D. Velusamy and his second wife D. Patchaiamal.
