Bail petition of Rupam Pathak rejected in BJP MLA murder case

Patna, Sep 2 (UNI) The Patna High Court today rejected the regular bail petition of Rupam Pathak, prime accused in BJP MLA Rajkishore Kesri murder case, and directed the CBI court to complete the trial of the case within six months.

Justice Hemant Kumar Srivastav rejected the regular bail petition of Pathak after hearing arguments of her counsel and that of the prosecution.

The court also directed the CBI court to complete the trial of the case within six months failing which Ms Pathak would be free to move her bail petition again in the case.

Ms Pathak had allegedly stabbed Mr Kesri to death at his residence in Purnea in first week of January last year.

She was arrested and sent to jail in connection with the case.

The case was later handed over to CBI by Bihar police and all records were transferred to CBI court in Patna.

Ms Pathak was also shifted from Purnea jail to Beur jail in Patna.
