PATNA: Newly elected Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has invited trouble for himself and the party with his remarks linking job deprivation to influx of workers from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Now, a case has been filed against him at a court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district.
On Wednesday a case was filled against the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the people of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh with his comments on migrant workers. The petitioner, identified Tamanna Hashmi, said in the plea that Mr Nath’s remark amounted to creating an atmosphere of distrust for migrant workers in Madhya Pradesh. It further sought that the chief minister be summoned to court for tendering an unconditional apology.
After taking over as the 18th Chief Minister Madhya Pradesh on Monday, Nath said that youth from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh were taking away jobs in the state which had drawn all-round criticism, with parties like the BJP, RJD and JD(U) expressing their disapproval.
