Delhi is all set to host the Disabled Peoples’ International (DPI) meet in August this year, a leading disabled rights activist said here Saturday.

“The meet will see over 150 differently challenged people from 30 countries. We are also getting requests from people from Europe and Africa who want to attend the meet,” said Javed Abidi, convenor of the disabled rights group.

DPI is a network of national organisations of people with disabilities to promote human rights of disabled people.

“A plan of action will be prepared in the meeting to be held in August. This will be presented to the UNESCAP (Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific region),” added Abidi.
