Rajasthan HC on Tuesday asked the Jaipur Municipal Commission commissioner to furnish action plan on restoration of the Walled City.
The division bench of Chief Justice S Ravindra Bhutt & Justice Indrajeet Singh on a suo mottu petition on encroachment in the Walled City area.
Municipal commissioner V P Singh was present in the HC. The HC asked what action the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) taken on the May 9 order regarding restoration of Walled City, removal of encroachment, stopping commercial activity & heritage protection.
The counsel for Jaipur Municipal corporation (JMC) said, the civic body had identified 113 illegal constructions & the HC then asked what action the Jaipur Municipal corporation (JMC) proposed to do. The HC sought lane by lane action against violators in a time-bound manner. Jaipur Municipal corporation (JMC) then sought 2 week’s time.
