NEW DELHI: The Punjab and Haryana High Court asked the Haryana government to present the Dhingra Commission report before it on September 26. Justice S N Dhingra Commission which probed into the controversial land deals in Gurugram, during the Hooda-led Congress regime.
The report was summoned on the petition of Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda who argued that the report contained adverse remarks against him and same was included without following the law under the Commissions of Inquiry Act 1952.

The report was summoned by high court bench of justice AK Mittal after a demand in this regard was made by senior advocate Kapil Sibal. Sibal requested the court to summon the report to ascertain whether the allegations were levelled against the the ex-CM in violation of the principal of natural justice.
Additional Solicitor General of India Tushar Mehta, who represents the Haryana government in the case, opposed the order saying it may not be within the purview of the court to see the report of the Commission as it was required to be placed first before the legislature as per the law.
The court was also told that no preliminary inquiry was made by the government. Dhingra Commission was set up in 2015 to probe grant of licences for development of commercial colonies in Gurgaon, panel submitted its report on August 31 last year.
