Union Law Ministry & Justice has issued a notification and the copy of the order made available to the media said exercising the powers conferred by article 223 of the Constitution of India, President of India Pranab Mukherjee has issued orders that Justice, Ram Bhawan Misra who is senior most Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court would be performing the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from the date Chief Justice Kurian Joseph relinquishes charge of the office of the Himachal Pradesh High Court consequent upon his appointment as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India.
