Here in Rajashtan, all the lawyers and advocate are on strike for the demand of the residential scheme for lawyers and advocates.
The one day token strike was observed on call from the State Bar Council and Bar Association that disrupted legal proceeding and hearing of more than 10,000 cases posted for today.
The demand chart is pending before the State Government for a long period and efforts have been made for a settlement but all in vain.
‘Yesterday itself a lawyers’ delegation held dialogue with the government but that also was inconclusive exercise.
Besides housing scheme, the lawyers are also demanding for state’s contribution in the Lawyers Welfare Fund, stipend for fresher law graduates who join in practice and appointments of lawyers in various tribunals and authorities.
