The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of eight judicial officers as judges of the Gujarat High Court, following a meeting on March 19 ¹. The recommended judicial officers are:
- Liyakathussain Shamsuddin Pirzada
- Ramchandra Thakurdas Vachhani
- Jayesh Lakhanshibhai Odedra
- Pranav Maheshbhai Raval
- Mool Chand Tyagi
- Dipak Mansukhlal Vyas
- Utkarsh Thakorbhai Desai
- Rohenkumar Kundanlal Chudawala
Currently, the Gujarat High Court has a working strength of 32 judges, despite a sanctioned strength of 52 judges. If the Collegium’s proposal is approved by the Central government, the working strength will increase to 40 judges ¹.
