Jammu and Kashmir High Court granted bail to four police officials arrested for alleged destruction of evidence in Shopian’s rape-murder case and made some harsh observations against the police team probing the incident.
Justice Sunil Hali, who had heard two separate bail applications moved by the police officers, granted bail to SP Javed Iqbal Mattoo, DSP Rohit Baskotra, SHO Shafeeq Ahmad and sub-inspector Qazi Abdul Karim on a conditions that they would not leave the state or influence witnesses.
