The court Wednesday said that the spot inspection became important as during the course of arguments a major controversy and disagreement had emerged.

Judge Lau visited the spot from where the a call was made to the police control room by the father of the victim, the house of the victim’s maternal uncle and a place from where she was allegedly kidnapped before the gangrape.

The team also visited the place where the girl was allegedly kept for three days and raped and the public toilet where she was left after the incident. The team also calculated and recorded the distance of Jahangirpuri police station from the spot.

“No site plan (rough or scaled) has been placed on record either by the prosecution or by the defence on the basis of which the said controversy can be determined and decided,” said the court Wednesday.
