A Metropolitan Magistrate court in Mumbai extended the judicial custody of Indrani Mukerjea — prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case — and two others till November 20, 2015 after their week-long remand ended on Saturday.
“The judicial custody of Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai is extended till November 20,” ordered Magistrate R.V. Adone.
The court also allowed the CBI to interrogate Ms. Mukherjea and Mr. Khanna till November 17.
Earlier, the court had granted permission to quiz all the three accused in jail till Saturday.
Public Prosecutor Kavita Patil moved an application and told the court that certain documents need to be “confronted” and (Ms. Mukherjea’s) voice samples are yet to be taken.
Ms. Mukherjea, on November 3, 2015, had given her consent for voice sample test to be conducted on her.
The CBI had earlier moved an application before the magistrate seeking her voice samples saying that it had got hold of some call recordings which purportedly featured her voice, and therefore verification was needed.
