BACKGROUND
:
Shri Ajit Kumar Mishra in his RTI Application dated 10/03/2008 asked for
information regarding the action taken on changing the time of Chitrakoot
Express from Jabalpur to Lucknow (5010 down). The request was made to
Honorable Railway Minister also.
1. Not satisfied with the reply of the CPIO the Appellant filed second appeal
dated 29/5/2008 to CIC.
3. The Bench of Mrs. Omita Paul, Information Commissioner, heard the matter
on 23.06.2009.
4. Mr. V.K. Samuel, APIO III and Mr. J.P. Mehta represented the Respondent
5. Neither the Appellant nor his representative was present.
Decision:
The Commission heard the Respondent. The Respondent placed on record the letter sent to
the Appellant on 19/05/2008 where they have given a point wise reply informing the
Appellant that the time of stoppage of Chitrakoot Express at Sumerpur Station has been
altered to after 0500 hrs with effect from 01/07/2008. The Commission appreciated the
action taken by the Railways. The case is thus disposed off.
