Prayer: This Writ Petition came to be numbered under Article 226 of the Constitution of India by way of transfer of O.A.No.4429 of 1999 from the file of the Tamil Administrative Tribunal with a prayer to issue a Writ of Certiorari to call for the entire records pertaining to the impugned seniority panel prepared for Namakkal Panchayat Union Unit Secondary Grade teachers for the year 1999 fit for promotion to the post of Elementary School Headmaster by the The Assistant Elementary Educational Officer, Namakkal, in his proceeding Na.Ka.No.587/B1/99 dated 26.05.1999 and the Consequential promotion order passed by the Namakkal District Elementary Educational Officer in his proceeding in Na.Ka.No.3242/A3/99 dated 22.06.1999 and set aside the said orders and further direct the respondents to prepare the seniority list for the year 1999 by including the petitioner's name in the appropriate place and promote the petitioner as Elementary School Headmaster based on their seniority with all consequential benefits.

This writ petition is filed to call for the entire records pertaining to the impugned seniority panel prepared for Namakkal Panchayat Union Unit Secondary Grade teachers for the year 1999 fit for promotion to the post of Elementary School Headmaster by the The Assistant Elementary Educational Officer, Namakkal, in his proceeding Na.Ka.No.587/B1/99 dated 26.05.1999 and the Consequential promotion order passed by the Namakkal District Elementary Educational Officer in his proceeding in Na.Ka.No.3242/A3/99 dated 22.06.1999 and set aside the said orders and further direct the respondents to prepare the seniority list for the year 1999 by including the petitioner’s name in the appropriate place and promote the petitioner as Elementary School Headmaster based on their seniority with all consequential benefits.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submits that pending the original application, many of the petitioners would have benefited by way of promotion as elementary school head masters and if they want any further relief, they may be permitted to make further representations to the second respondent for appropriate relief.
3. Considering the nature of the relief now sought for, the petitioners are entitled to make further representations to the second respondent for any other relief and such representations shall be considered and disposed of on merits within a reasonable time preferably within a period of three months thereafter. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
