Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dt.25.2.08 with the CPIO, ECR, Sonepur.
He requested for information regarding reservation in the Train No.2554 (New
Delhi to Barauni) including the reservation list of people who traveled on
24.1.2008 and whether any seat or berth was reserved against ticket No.3A
No.20433917 R AC3 in the said train. The CPIO replied on 14.3.08 providing
some information. Not satisfied with the reply, the Applicant filed an appeal
dt.10.4.08 with the Appellate Authority. On not receiving any reply from the
FAA, the Applicant filed a second appeal dt.1.5.08 before the CIC.
2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the
hearing for May 13, 2009.
3. The Public Authority was not present at the hearing.
4. The Applicant was present during the hearing.
Decision
5. After hearing the submission of the Appellant the Commission directs the
CPIO to provide the information against Point No. 3 (iii) to the Appellant by
30th May, 2009 under intimation to the Commission.
6. The appeal is disposed off.
