1. Before the learned counsel for the petitioner argues in
detail that the petitioner is entitled to get compassionate
appointment because of death of his mother on 5th April,
2000, it is fairly submitted by learned counsel for the
respondents that initially the respondent-Management had
rejected the claim of the present petitioner for appointment
on the compassionate ground, nonetheless the file of the
present petitioner has been reopened and, therefore, a
direction may be given to the concerned respondent
authority to treat this writ petition as a representation and
the application of the present petitioner may be decided
afresh by the respondent-Management, for compassionate
appointment and the same will be decided in accordance
with law.
2. In view of this submission, I hereby direct the
concerned respondent authority to take afresh decision upon
the application preferred by the present petitioner for getting
compassionate appointment, as expeditiously as possible
and practicable, preferably within a period of sixteen weeks
from the date of receipt of a copy of the order of this Court.
3. The petition is, hereby, disposed of, in view of the
aforesaid directions.
