FACTS
The matter is heard today dated 30.5.2011. Appellant present. The
public authority is represented by Lt. Col. Nar Singh.
2. The matter, in short, is that the appellant is a Jr. Engineer in MIS.
While serving in the jurisdiction of Chief Engineer, Shilong Zone, he was given
adverse remarks by the Superintending Engineer for the year 2005-06. He had made a
representation against the remarks which was rejected by the competent authority. In
the appeal memo filed before this Commission he has requested for the following:-
" a) Expunge all adverse remarks.
b) Clearance of his TA/DA claims amounting to Rs. 10,510/-."
2. After hearing both the parties, it is explained to the appellant that this
Commission does not have the authority to expunge the adverse remarks. However, the
appellant has the liberty to inspect the relevant documents and to take extracts there-
from. As regards para (b) above, the Commission advises Lt. Col. Nar Singh to take
urgent steps to clear the appellant’s pending TA/DA bills as per prevailing rules. He is
expected to convey his decision to the appellant in 06 weeks time.
3. This disposes of all the matters.
