                           J U D G M E N T

Though in the writ petition the challenge is against Ext. P4

order passed by the Tribunal for Local Self Government Institutions,

disposing of Appeal No. 527/07 filed by respondents 4 and 5,

learned counsel is confining his request for a direction to the

Secretary of the Corporation to expeditiously decide the matter in

pursuance to Ext. P4.

2. I heard the Standing Counsel who entered appearance on

behalf of the respondent Corporation also.

3. A reading of Ext. P4 shows that though the matter has been

remanded by the Tribunal, the Tribunal did not specify any time

limit for the Secretary to decide the matter in pursuance thereof. In

view of this, I feel, a time limit has to be fixed considering the

urgency that is pointed out by the petitioner.

4. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of directing that the

W.P.(C) No. 19422 OF 2008
-2-

1st respondent shall dispose of the matter as directed by the

Tribunal in Ext. P4 judgment with notice to the parties as

expeditiously as possible and at any rate within 4 weeks of

production of a copy of this judgment.

Petitioner shall produce a copy of this judgment before the 1st

respondent for compliance.
