                     JUDGMENT

Thottathil B.Radhakrishnan, J.:

The petitioner seeks an order against police

harassment. He states that he was an employee of

Kerala State Audio Visual Reprographic Centre,

which is not a party to this writ petition. We

had the privilege of perusing the order keeping

the petitioner under suspension. It shows that

the petitioner and others are alleged to have

obstructed the discharge of duties and

responsibilities of a person who was transferred

into the office where the petitioner and others

were working. Going by the statements in that

order of suspension, we find possibility of the

employer having instituted a criminal complaint,

WP(C)38287/08 -: 2 :-

at least, before the police officer having

jurisdiction. In such event, there would be an

enquiry followed by investigation, if necessary.

Though the petitioner states that no crime has

been registered, we are not inclined to treat it

as a case where the police could be accused of

having been harassing the petitioner or his

family. We have also gone through the contents of

Ext.P1 representation. Barring the vague

statements of harassment, there is really no

harassment made out. We are satisfied that even

if the petitioner is summoned to the police

station, that would not be a harassment provided

such summoning is done in accordance with law.

We, therefore, do not find any ground to issue

any orders. The writ petition is closed without

prejudice.
