ORAL
ORDER

1 Learned
counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners, who entered
into wedlock against the will and wish of the family, are
apprehending danger to their life particularly from respondent No.5,
PSI, City Police Station, Vadodara, and respondent No.6, a lawyer.
The petitioners are unable even to enter the City of Vadodara and
reside there. He has cited certain instances of receiving threats
from the family members. He further submits that the petitioners
submitted applications to the Commissioner of Police, Vadodara, on
17.5.2008 and 5.7.2008 and, though both the applications were
received by the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Vadodara, yet
no action is taken by the police authority so far and threats to the
life of the petitioners continue.

2 Learned
Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that appropriate action
can be taken by the Authority in accordance with law, if directions
are issued accordingly.

3 Considering
the facts and circumstances of the case and materials produced on the
record indicating that the petitioners feel insecure about their life
and are unable to live in the City of Vadodara in view of love
marriage, the petitioners deserve proper protection at the hands of
police authority.

4 The
Commissioner of Police, Vadodara City, is, therefore, directed to
look into the grievances of the petitioners ventilated by them
through various applications and direct the concerned police officers
to do the needful in the matter in accordance with law.

5 With
the aforesaid directions, this petition stands disposed of.

Direct
service is permitted.
