Date

(Per
: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE MR. S.J. MUKHOPADHAYA)

The
learned counsel appearing for the State was requested to know from
the Secretary, Commission of Inquiry, Godhra, about the status of the
inquiry. Referring to the letter dated 8.2.2010 written by the
Secretary of the said Commission to the Government Pleader,
Ahmedabad, it is submitted that the Commission has collected the
evidence and material in respect of the incidents and almost
completed analysis of the evidence and material. The Commission is
about to start recording its tentative findings on the basis of the
record, which is likely to be over within three to four months.

The
learned counsel appearing for the appellant wanted to bring on record
certain more facts and developments. In this background, we are
inclined to adjourn the case. Post the matter on 22.3.2010.
