                           JUDGMENT

The petitioner has completed B.Tech Engineering in

Computer Science & Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi

University in May, 2009. He appeared for the third semester

B.Tech Degree examination conducted by the University in the

month of November, 2009. When the result of the said

examination was declared, it was found that petitioner failed

in one Paper – Solid State Electronics of the 3rd semester. He

has submitted application for revaluation of the answer paper

after remitting the prescribed fee, as detailed in paragraph 2

of the writ petition. Exhibit P1 is the copy of the application

for Scrutiny of Answer scripts along with pay-in-slip dated

27/3/2010 and Exhibit P2 is the copy of the application for

revaluation along with pay-in-slip. The petitioner seeks for a

direction compelling the respondents to revalue the answer

paper and declare the result within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the

University. There will be a direction to the University to allow

the scrutiny of answer paper within a period of two weeks and

finalise the process of revaluation of the answer paper of the

petitioner, if the application for revaluation along with the

requisite fee covered by the pay-in-slip has been received and

are in order, and communicate the result thereof, within a

period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this

judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
