/20.07.2011 In these writ petitions, the petitioners have prayed for a direction on the
respondents to take a decision on the resolution dated 25.01.2010 of Gram
Sabha regarding appointment of Para Teachers in Government Upgraded
Primary School, Shreekantpara, Barharwa, Sahibganj.

It has been stated that by the resolution dated 25.01.2010, Gram Sabha
of the said village has taken decision to appoint Para Teachers in the aforesaid
School. The petitioners are selected candidates and they have been asked to
work as Para Teacher from the date of the said resolution, but the matter is still
pending for taking approval of the District Level. The petitioners’ fate are,
therefore, hanging in balance. The petitioners made several requests and
representations, but no order has been passed till date.

Learned J.C. to Sr. S.C.I, appearing on behalf of the respondents,
submitted that the District Superintendent of Education-cum-District Programme
Officer, Sahibganj-respondent no.5 is the competent authority to consider the
petitioners’ grievance and if the petitioners file fresh representation before the
said respondent, the same shall be taken up by the said respondent and
appropriate order shall be passed.

Considering the above, these writ petitions are disposed of giving liberty
to the petitioners to file fresh representation before the District Superintendent of
Education-cum-District Programme Officer, Sahibganj-respondent no.5. On
receipt of petitioners’ representation, the said respondent shall consider the
same and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, within two months
from the date of receipt of representation.
