By means of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the
petitioners have prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus
commanding the opposite parties to grant the second promotional post scale
of Assistant Engineer in accordance with Government Orders dated
2.112.2000 and 3.9.2001.
Representations given by the petitioners are pending. Liberty is given to the
petitioners to represent their cause afresh before the competent authority i.e.
Engineer-in-Chief, Irrigation Department, U.P. who shall consider and
dispose of the petitioners’ representation by passing a speaking and reasoned
order within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this
order is produced and communicate the decision to the petitioners.
With the aforesaid direction, writ petition is disposed of finally.
