1. Heard
the learned advocate for the petitioner.
2. Considering
the reasons furnished to the petitioner and more particularly the
last two paragraphs thereof, it appears that reasons as envisaged
under sub-section (2) of section 148 of the Income-Tax Act, 1961 have
not been recorded by the Assessing Officer. Hence, notice returnable
on 25th October, 2010. On that day, the respondent shall
produce the original record containing the reasons recorded for
reopening assessment. Direct Service is permitted.
