This petition under Section 482, Code of Criminal Procedure,
seeks quashing of FIR No.172 dated 9.9.2002 under Sections 498-A/406,
Indian Penal Code, Police Station, City Mansa (Annexure P-1) and
subsequent proceedings.

Learned counsel for the respondent-State has pointed out that
the trial is in progress in so much as some witnesses have already been
examined.

Considering the stage of trial and the fact that the trial court is
seized of the matter and even prosecution witnesses have been examined,
no ground for quashing of the FIR is made out.

The petition is dismissed.
