Mr.Sahu has placed on record a copy of the communication
dated 12.11.2008 from the Executive Engineer (Estt.) office of the Chief
Engineer (North), Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Patiala,
addressed to the the Advocate General, Punjab, Chandigarh, stating that
during the pendency of this petition, petitioner stand promoted as Sub
Divisional Engineer with effect from 01.01.1984, vide Punjab Govt. Gaz.
October 26, 2007, Annexure R-1, attached with the application. As a
matter of fact, the petitioner has sought relief of promotion as Sub
Divisional Engineer in the writ petition. The desired relief has been granted
to him.
In view of the above, the present writ petition has been
rendered infructuous and the same is disposed of as such.
