ORAL
ORDER

Heard
learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP Shri Shah for the
State.

Grievance
of the petitioner is that complaint at Annexure A dated 28.8.2010 is
not being properly investigated by the Investigating Officer.
Request of the petitioner is that such investigation be supervised
by some higher authorities.

Counsel
for the petitioner submitted that daughter of the petitioner died
an unnatural death within about two months of the marriage. She was
found hanging in her matrimonial home. On her body, injury marks
were also noticed. Despite such serious allegations, so far no
arrests have been made pursuant to the said complaint. The
petitioner suspects that there was serious foul play which led to
the death of his daughter. Investigation is also not being carried
on in earnest.

Considering
the above prima facie aspects of the matter, in the facts of the
case, I am of the opinion that it would be desirable that the
investigation of the present case be supervised by an officer of the
level of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jamnagar.

With
the above direction, the petition is disposed of.

Direct
service.

Kureshi, J.)
