Respondents This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the second and fourth respondents to permit the petitioner herein to sell only the products of the fourth respondent i.e., Aavin products, in the Kiosks run by him in the compound of the Government Head Quarters Hospital, Nagapattinam, as per the permission granted under G.O.Ms.No.1957, Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 7.9.1977, by the second and third respondents herein, by considering the petitioner's application, dated 12.1.2007, submitted to the third and fourth respondents herein. !For Petitioner : Mr.K.M.Venugopal For Respondents : Mr.D.Gandhirajan Government Advocate :ORDER
Mr.D.Gandhirajan, the learned Government Advocate takes notice for the
respondents.
2. By consent of the learned counsels on either side, the Writ Petition
itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner as
well as for the respondents.
4. Though the prayer is for a larger relief, the learned counsel for the
petitioner has submitted that it would suffice if the third respondent is
directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated
12.1.2007, expeditiously.
5. Considering the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for
the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the third respondent
is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner,
dated 12.1.2007, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six
weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also
directed to furnish a copy of the representation, dated 12.1.2007, to the third
respondent, along with a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
Consequently, connected M.P.No.1 of 2007 is closed.
