This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to
consider the petitioner’s representation dated 21.07.2008, by issuing a Writ of
Mandamus.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned
Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
3. The grievance of the petitioner as set out in the affidavit
accompanying the writ petition, is to the effect that the petitioner is in
occupation of agricultural land in S.No.231/2 measuring 0.77.5 hectares and
cultivating the same for which she approached the second respondent for issuance
of patta, but it evoked no positive response.
4. In this factual matrix, the following direction is issued:
Without in any way deciding as to whether the petitioner is entitled to
patta or not, I would like to direct the respondents to consider the
petitioner’s representation dated 21.07.2008 and dispose of the same on merits
and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt
of a copy of this order after giving due opportunity of being heard to the
petitioner.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
