Karndikar Name of the Public Authority : NC Railway, Jhansi Background 1. The RTI application was filed by the Applicant on 17.8.09 with the PIO, NC Railway, Jhansi seeking reasons for not issuing his revised PPO and for not releasing his settlement dues. In this regard he sought (i) the number of CDRG/leave salary and 40% arrears which have been passed and the time it would take for issuing new PPO. The Addl Rly. ManagercumPIO replied on 25.8.09 stating that no information has been sought against point 1 by the Applicant and giving the various payments that had been passed. He also stated that the Sr. DFM office, Jhansi is responsible for issuing the PPO. To the first appeal dated 8.9.09, the Div. Rly. Manager replied on 5.10.09 once again informing the Applicant that the list of retired employees containing 1608 names had been sent to the Addl. Finance Manager, Jhansi for processing their settlement dues and for issuing revised PPOs. Not satisfied with the reply, the Appellant filed a complaint on 17.11.09 with the Commission seeking information once again. 2. The Bench of Mrs. Annapurna Dixit, Information Commissioner, scheduled the hearing for July 28, 2010. 3. Shri Sandeep Trivedi, PIO and Shri K.P. Pandey, AA represented the Public Authority. 4. The Applicant was not present during the hearing. Decision 5. The Respondent submitted that the payments have been processed as explained in the PIO’s reply and have already been made to the Complainant. The revised PPO too was issued on 9.12.09. The Commission while holding that the grievances of the Complainant have been redressed closes the case at the Commission’s end.
