Name of the Public Authority   : CPIO, Punjab & Sind Bank, Zonal Office,  Jwaladevi Building, Lal  Bagh, Lucknow. On behalf of the Respondent, the following were present:­ (i) Shri Manvinder Singh, PIO, (ii) Shri Lekhraj Chugh   2. In our order dated 18 August 2010, we had directed the CPIO to provide  to the Appellant the desired information and also to explain the reasons for the  delay in providing the information. Today, we took up this case for hearing. The  CPIO was present in our chamber in person along with a representative of the  bank and submitted that the entire information as desired had since been sent  to the Appellant on 15 September 2010. We carefully perused the reply of the  CPIO and noted that, indeed, he had sent all the information. In regard to the  delay in disposal of the original RTI application, it was noted that the application  had been addressed to the head office of the bank which in turn had transferred  it to the Zonal office. In the process, the timelines were not adhered to. The  CIC/SM/A/2009/001971 CPIO explained that it was not intentional and that the delay was largely due to  the pressure of work on account of the annual closure of the accounts of the  bank. He promised not to delay any RTI request in future. We are satisfied with  the explanation of the CPIO and, therefore, do not intend to impose any penalty  on him. 3.
