Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Standing
Counsel.
By means of present writ petition petitioners claim that petitioner
Nos.1 and 2 have been transferred from Civil Police to Armed
Police on 15.8.1996. According to provision of Regulation 525 of
the Police Regulation, if a person has been transferred from Civil
Police to Armed Police, immediately after completion of six
months period in armed police he has to be repatriated to Civil
Police. Petitioners submit that six months period has already over
but petitioners have not been sent back to Civil Police. Grievance
of petitioners as per Learned Standing Counsel can be taken care
by the respondent no.3.
In view of aforesaid facts and circumstances, this writ petition is
disposed of giving liberty to petitioners to approach respondent
No.3 by means of proper application for their return to Civil Police
within a period of three weeks from today along with certified
copy of this order. In case, such representation is made within time
stipulated, respondent No.3 shall consider and decide the same in
accordance with law within a period of two months thereafter in
accordance with law.
With these observations the writ petition is disposed of, however,
without imposing any cost.
