The matter was taken up as Public Interest Litigation
on a complaint with regard to inhuman treatment to jail inmates at
Bhiwani and Gurgaon. An affidavit was filed by the Director
General of Police (Prisons) stating that responsible persons were
proceeded against and also convicted by the concerned Court
with regard to inhuman treatment to jail inmates at Bhiwani. As
regards Gurgaon, it was stated that the matter was being
investigated and an affidavit will be filed about the status of
investigation by 30.4.2011. Accordingly, an affidavit dated
28.4.2011 has been filed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police
(West), Gurgaon stating that after investigation, cancellation

report dated 18.4.2011 has been prepared and was being filed in
the concerned Court.
Learned counsel for the State says that report has
already been filed in concerned Court.
In view of above development, no further order is
necessary in this petition and the same stands disposed of
accordingly.
